Specialising in both transcribing digital recordings and co-ordinating projects, I offer a complete service for all oral history projects.
I provide fast and accurate transcription of digital audio and video recording, either verbatim or intelligent verbatim.
Transcription of oral history interviews includes providing a synopsis of the interview listing the main themes, topics and stories discussed, along with personal information on the interviewee, the recording and equipment used.
I charge per audio minute and offer special rates for members of the Oral History Society, charities and not-for-profit organisations.
Oral history projects can benefit from dedicated project co-ordination to support the work of the lead historian.
I can support you by working with the volunteers and organising training, ensure that copyright forms are in place, liaise with the depository archive and make sure that deadlines for reports to funding bodies are met.
As with the transcription service I offer special rates for members of the Oral History Society, charities and not-for-profit organisations.
As a member of the Oral History Society I follow the OHS ethics guidelines and all work undertaken by Halcyon is done in the strictest confidence.
Not only do I have extensive transcribing experience I have conducted oral history interviews so I am aware of the issues and difficulties that may come up in the process.
